ACL plasti gauge Kit Specifications
Easy to use, the flexigauge kit allows you to quickly check the clearance of main and connecting rod bearings. Precision manufactured plastic strips, existing in four different colors, each offering different measurement ranges :
- green from 0.02 to 0.08 mm,
- red from 0.05 to 0.15 mm,
- blue from 0.10 to 0.25 mm,
- yellow from 0.20 to 0.40 mm.
It’s really easy to measure the clearence with a flexigauge kit : remove the bearing cap, wipe the journal and bearing shell clear of oil, place a piece of flexigauge across the bearing at the crown. Install the bearing cap and using a torque wrench, tighten the bolts to the correct torque. Remove bearing cap and compare the width of the flattened flexigauge with the graduation of the envelope.
