For 100 years, Hastings Manufacturing Company has been a world power in piston ring engineering and manufacturing. Hastings revolutionized oil control ring design with the invention of the Hastings Flex Vent® oil control ring, and it is now the accepted standard in the industry.
The hastings piston rings are sold as a set of 4 and are suited for standard piston sizes.
Hastings is the pioneer of oil control ring technology. In 1956, they invented the multi-piece oil ring, followed by the Flex-Vent® expander—the design standard by which all other oil rings are compared today. The three-piece design allows rails to be manufactured with a small cross-sectional area for better conformability to the bores of today’s low-tension, low-friction engines.
